The Woman in Cabin 10 Film

However when a mysterious woman falls into the sea one night and the entire crew insists she wasn't real, the reporter's sleuthing skills awaken. Out now, on Netflix

Presence Film

The acclaimed director tests his creative boundaries in this innovative ghostly tale captured wholly from the viewpoint of a ghost. As a family including mother Rebekah and troubled teenage daughter Chloe moves into their new suburban house, the lens – representing the ghost – shadows their actions. The teen shows signs of conscious of the ghostly being, and it seems defensive toward her. However, the motive remains? This is an entertaining concept that avoids overstaying, featuring a surprise you might not see coming. Saturday 11 October, afternoon and evening times, Sky Cinema Premiere

The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent

Nicolas Cage fully commits to his cult stardom through this autobiographical spoof. He portrays a self-obsessed film star called Nicolas Cage who accepts a $1m payday to attend a celebration at a Mediterranean location for the rich Javi Gutierrez. Hired by the intelligence agency to gather intel on the alleged criminal, his “nouveau shamanic acting ability” proves useful. October 11th, evening, Channel 4

This Creepy Thriller

The director's claustrophobic thriller holds up well despite the lack of a continuation. Set in 1970s Colorado, multiple child abductions has rendered the children frightened. Once Finney is kidnapped by the villain and imprisoned in a dungeon, he anticipates a fatal end. However, the non-functional line mounted nearby repeatedly calls, with spooky callers offering help, and the intuitive nightmares of his sister Gwen could save him. A genuinely scary movie. October 11th, nighttime, Film4

This Dramatic Portrait

In the conflict between spirituality and money, the winner is obvious for materialism in this director's brilliantly over-the-top film adaptation regarding the shamed televangelist and her criminal husband. Garfield portrays the venal Jim, who proclaims early on, claiming divine approval for wealth. Both individuals set about capitalizing on the people's Christian beliefs. It's an extravaganza of tacky decor, overdone appearance and insincerity, though the lead actress manages to depict Tammy Faye with compassion. Tuesday 14 October, early morning, the Film4 channel

This period's additional entry from the filmmaker presents a espionage tale as sharp similar to the collars worn by Fassbender's UK spy.
